Stealing “Hate Magic” for a band name!

Podcast Movement was great as you said - a creative, collaborative environment full of friendly people.

I just checked to see if hatemagic.com is taken and it IS! Boo! :-) I still want to hear the band and songs!

Such a bang on review Steve!

I heard the same from everyone that came back to the hotel bar post unMagic show.

I also heard and felt the same about the energy at the Podcast Movement conference.

This all makes me thankful that our dear friend Sharon Taylor and I missed the show to revel in our own positivity...at the bar!

Cheers to Denver and the magic of our own creativity between now and then!

Thanks, Bob! We will have to do some Denver research and see if there are any magic shows playing there in August :-) Awesome to see you IRL and glad you felt the great podcasting industry energy there, too!

I might guess the magician's initials were DC. Saw him years ago and he was great but he has been at it for a very long time. We often don't see that the time to reinvent ourselves has come until it is thrust upon us. I'd imagine the kind of singular self awareness that would precede that exists in pretty rarified air.

Being creative all the time can be exhausting, especially if the only rewards are extrinsic. Intrinsic rewards are essential for creative people to find daily joy. Have you heard of ikigai Steve? You can have both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards if you do what you love and do what you're good at. The secret is that you have to use your gifts to help others.
